Meet The Founder

Built By Someone Who Lived It

Bobby Marsteller has been playing soccer most of his life — four years as a Division I athlete at Mount St. Mary's University, plus summers competing semi-pro for PA Classics. He's spent three years coaching alongside that.

In college, he saw the same problem from both sides of the field: athletes don't have time for a typical part-time job, but coaching younger players is a real opportunity to earn money doing something they're already great at. The hard part was setting it up — finding clients, handling logistics, all on his own.

NextGen Athletic Development exists to remove that barrier: a simple way for college athletes to turn their experience into paid coaching, without doing the legwork themselves.

"I wish I'd had a mentor who was still playing at a high level — not just an older coach years removed from the game. That's what I want NextGen coaches to be for the next generation."

Safety First

How We Keep Sessions Safe

Trusting a stranger to train your kid is a big ask. Here's how we handle it.

01

Coaches Are Reviewed

Every coach goes through our application and review process before appearing on the platform.

02

Public Locations Only

Sessions happen at public fields and parks — never a coach's home or another private location.

03

Parents Welcome, Always

We encourage a parent or guardian to be present, especially for a first session with a new coach.

FAQ

Common Questions

Every coach goes through an application and review process before appearing on the platform. Sessions happen at public fields and parks only — never a coach's home — and we encourage a parent or guardian to be present, especially for a first session.

Right now, payment is arranged directly between you and the coach when you connect. We're building a fully integrated payment system so sessions can be booked and paid for right on the platform — check back as we grow.

Both — browse the Meet The Coaches page and request whoever fits best, or let us know your athlete's needs and we'll suggest a match.

Reach out to your coach directly as soon as you know — most are happy to reschedule with reasonable notice. If you're having trouble reaching them, contact us and we'll help sort it out.

All of them — from kids just starting out to competitive travel and high school players. Let us know your athlete's age and level when you request a coach so we can match accordingly.

You set your own rate per session. NextGen takes a platform fee starting at 10%, which drops the more you coach — down to 5% once you've completed 100+ sessions. You keep the rest.
